With “Soft Paws”, double-sided pet tape and other methods, perhaps Jeter’s efforts to claw the new couch could have been thwarted. Unfortunately, reality finds Jeter looking for a new home. At 9 years old, she still has a lot of love to give. Jeter is sweet, friendly and shy. While she is an independent kitty, she appreciated affection on her terms and enjoyed following her former owner around the house. Jeter’s shyness wasn’t evident in her cage; she loved being petted and having her ears scratched and was visibly disappointed that I couldn’t stay longer. Description: Sweet Lorraine!! Sounds like an old Sinatra song! Our sweet Lorraine might inspire songs, but wishes to touch your heart!! The day Lorraine was placed in the adoption area, I found her trying to look as small as possible at the back of her cage. All she needed, however, was some soothing reassurances with loving strokes and words. Within a minute, our sweet Lorraine was stepping forward. This little tiger-striped tabby needs a home where kids are at least 10 years old and where she can adjust at her own pace. Once Lorraine is comfortable, she may want to spend time in your lap. She is fine with being petted, held, carried, and is tolerant to grooming. Lorraine will appreciate being the only cat in your home and, with a slow introduction, should be OK with a nice dog. I wish this little 3-year old could tell us all her stories about being alone on the streets, but I think she would rather tell us about how much she would love to have a forever home. While Princess loves people, being petted and may crawl into your lap for a little cuddling, don’t take it personally if she decides to simply walk away when she is ready to move on. She’ll be back! Princess appreciates having her beautiful coat combed and brushed to stay looking her best. She has told us she isn’t all that impressed with having dogs around. She might consider living with a laid-back dog that would just leave her alone. Although, she has enjoyed being on the patio and playing outside she likes to eat and sleep in the house at night and with some effort could be taught to stay inside all the time, which would be best. She eats hard food and an occasional treat of soft Fancy Feast. Puma was raised with a mature woman, who had to go into an assisted living home and could not take her beloved kitty. She was rescued as a kitten and has been raised indoors! Once a grandchild with allergies to cats moved in, things fell apart for Rapunzel. So… she is now looking for a new home! When first meeting new people, Rapunzel can be a little shy and nervous, but warms up fairly quickly. She enjoys being with people; however, because she is rather independent, she doesn’t want constant attention. For that reason, it is recommended that Rapunzel be with kids at least 12 years old. Once Rapunzel is comfortable with people, she will be jumping into laps and wanting to be with you! (OK – so I “just couldn’t” title their bio in the order they appear in their picture!) Their names are a clue as to just how bonded these 3-year olds are. From all appearances, Macaroni and Cheese have been raised together, and appear to be sisters. After some attentive time with this rather shy pair, they decided they wanted more attention. They started “talking” to me as I walked by their cage; there was little doubt they wanted more love and affection. “Mac” and Cheese need to go to a home where there are no dogs, although they would probably adjust well to other cats. They would do best with children at least 12 years old who can respect their shyness. You must meet these cute, trim and petite felines! What a precious pair they make!! And, how wonderful bringing two kitties, already so comfortable with each other, into your home! You know how warm and comfy you feel after a big plate of Macaroni and Cheese?
